Hi Dave - Welcome aboard, I'm glad that you joined in on this site. Although I started setting up this site a few months ago, I just "officially launched" it a couple days ago, and I hope to get myself to write here several times per week.

Yes, these little things like newsletters and such pile up on us, and I really think that taking control of them from time to time and weeding out those that are no longer useful to us is a healthy thing to do. It helps free up some of our time and clears a little clutter from our lives, which is an important thing for us to do. Keeping our lives orderly and under control empowers us in many respects.

Hi Bob,

Glad to see this blog coming back to life again. Amen to the message of 'take control'. I recently got rid of about 100 people who were dending me email 'newsletters', mainly for things I had wanted to read in the past but which now have no useful function for me. I also dumped over a hundred blogs I has RSS feeds coming in for that just didn't seem to be doing anything for me. Amazing how much time we can save just by saying, no thanks.
